Webtec’s International Sales Manager, Steve Thorpe has just returned from a successful visit to Hytec International, Webtec’s Middle East distribution partner, which is his first international trip since Covid. Hytec International was formed in 1986 in Dubai (UAE) and has branch offices in Abu Dhabi (UAE), Muscat (Oman), Salalah (Oman) and Sohar (Oman). It has the biggest fleet of piling and foundation equipment in the Middle East and is a leading supplier of complete innovative and highly efficient hydraulic and transport equipment for the mobile and industrial market.
Steve’s visit is part of Webtec’s plan to see all of its global distribution partners, at their own premises, at least once a year for product and service training. Steve covered a brief product overview together with how to create an opportunity from scratch, un-covering potential problems, discussing what would happen if the problems continued and then offering a solution. The group then conducted roleplay to try and solidify this idea.
During the training sessions, the Hytec team conducted a live test using Webtec’s DHM404 using its own test rig, transferring the results to an iPhone using the Bluetooth and the Quick Cert App.
Tomas Colaco and Rajiv Nayak from Hytec International worked closely with Steve to organize the training which took place at the company’s Dubai and Abu Dhabi locations.
