Do you really know what's happening inside your hydraulic system if you can't be sure which way the oil is flowing?

With bi-directional flow meters now the standard for hydraulic testing and with many locations on a system subject to flow in both directions, knowing the direction of flow as well as the flow rate is a must when fault-finding a hydraulic system. 

TrueFlow®, designed by Webtec, is a patent pending technology which senses the direction of rotation of the turbine inside the flow meter and indicates the direction of flow digitally, in the case of the DHM this is both on the LCD and on the Live View on the QuickCert®+ App.

With a TrueFlow® turbine the frequency transducer & signal processing unit work together to measure the frequency of rotation of the turbine and, by analysing the shape of the frequency wave, can also identify the direction in which the turbine is rotating. This is achieved by use of clever digital signal processing. Unlike other designs that use two frequency transducers to measure the phase shift, TrueFlow® uses just one frequency pickup and one signal processor, thereby reducing the weight, size and cost of the flowmeter, while still delivering the TrueFlow®.
