We are pleased to continue our sponsorship of the local St Ives U14 RedSox football team.  We received a great update from the Coach Paul Humphrey and would like to share this with you.

‘We had a mixed season last year in the Hunts Youth U13 League. We introduced 7 new players to the team, for some first-time playing football in matches. We pride ourselves on allowing anyone with interest in the game to play, latecomers or not.

Season 2022/23 finished and I’m proud of the team, we put in gutsy displays every week with every lad giving everything; they showed real spirit, but experience often made the difference. We continued to grow and improve as a team. We’ve kept our training sessions creative and fun as always – including sports days, team games, comedy hats, muddy knee slide contests and rugby crash pads.

We’ve made a collective decision to transfer to the Cambridge & District Colts League. It will bring us a new challenge and enable us to focus more on our attacking game. We’ll be travelling further distances to Cambridge, Haverhill & Histon. Our preparation has gone well so far, we’ve been unbeaten in three preseason friendlies and have brought in three new players to the team. 

We’ve had some great support over the season and hopefully got the Webtec brand out into the community, it’s a name we’re proud to have on our shirts’.
