Webtec’s ‘Sereen’ room is now open. The Wellbeing Group has done a great job in transforming an old archive room into a safe, private and quiet space for all the St Ives staff to use. The team has designed the room to feature everything to make a colleague’s visit as comfortable as possible supplying refreshments, comfortable chairs, radio and PC, all with a comfortable, relaxed and homely feel.

It is a great place to take timeout alone, have a chat with a peer support volunteer or a personal one-to-one with a colleague.

Webtec recognises the importance of looking after both the mental and physical health of its colleagues and the Wellbeing Group is an internal team of volunteers, supported by the company.  Wellbeing initiatives include access to the free health services offered through ‘Healthy You’, peer support, mental health awareness training, mentoring service and Webtec Wanderers, an informal walking group.

The Sereen room has received a very positive response from colleagues with comments such as,  ‘wow – I wasn’t expecting this’,  ‘this is amazing, it’s really lovely’, ’you guys have done an amazing job’ and ‘can I move in?’.
