The new 280 series of zero-leak 316 stainless steel rotary control valves, launched in April this year has already made its mark, as shown here on this HPU control panel. This HPU, built by Allison Hydraulics a hydraulic system integrator based in Washington (UK), is designed for offshore use where they commented "the 280 valves are used for operation of valve actuators. Used with a Heypac air driven pump and accumulator they give a leak free solution".

Following customer feedback, the 280 series of manifold-mount valves are now also available with a stainless steel CETOP 3 / NFPA D03 sub-plate rated up 350 bar (5000 psi). This means this range of directional control valves can easily be retro-fitted onto any existing CETOP 3 / NFPA D03 hydraulic manifold. In addition, the whole 280 range now includes all ATEX, product test and design certification as standard.

If required, any 280 series valve can be built and certified with full through-process material identification & traceability to EN10204-3.1.
