Webtec’s Optiflo® technology enables the VFD range of variable priority flow dividers to maintain stable, controlled hydraulic flow, even when operating pressures change. Using adaptive pressure compensation, Optiflo® automatically responds to changing loads, helping to maintain a consistent flow rate to the priority (REG) circuit.
At the heart of Optiflo® is a pressure-balanced, spring-loaded spool. As pressure changes at either the priority (REG) or bypass (BP) port, the spool moves automatically, adjusting the flow openings to maintain the required pressure differential. This ensures that priority flow remains stable, even when operating conditions vary. Optiflo® allows two hydraulic functions to operate simultaneously from a single pump, while maintaining priority flow as system demands change. If the available inlet flow decreases, the technology automatically gives preference to the priority circuit over the bypass circuit, helping to ensure that flow is directed where it is needed most. By providing reliable, controlled hydraulic flow while minimising pressure losses, Optiflo® also helps improve system efficiency and reduce operating costs.
